Case Management The case management
unit provides a wide variety of services to individuals with mental illness
and/or mental retardation. Some
of the services include: §
ongoing monitoring for
symptoms, medication compliance and effectiveness Coordination
of care with family members, private providers and community programs, such
as: o
medical doctors The level of case
management support a person receives is based upon his/her needs.
Medicaid and the mental retardation waiver pay for case management
services, if certain eligibility criteria are met.
Private insurance does not pay for case management, however, services
are provided regardless of insurance or income on a sliding fee scale. To request case management services, please call either the Goochland office at 804-556-5400 or the Powhatan office at 804-598-2200. Any clinician can discuss the services and take the request.
